Membership fees: Five new categories and tariff increases
Five new member categories have been created for people to become part of Free State Agriculture (FSA). In this way, the organisation can increase its membership numbers, provide a service to the new categories and involve more stakeholders in organised agriculture.
The annual membership fees will also increase from 1 May 2018. Members are reminded that membership fees are fully deductible from income tax. Membership fees must be paid in full by the end of July 2018.
The five new categories are:
- New categories for associated members have been added. Schools, universities and colleges form a new category, while one has also been created for students and scholars.
- New entrants or emerging farmers
- Part-time farmers
- Farmers on smallholdings and plots
