Agriculture loses a gentle but strong leader

Free State Agriculture is shocked to learn of the passing of Ntombi Msimang, chairperson of the Agriculture Sector Unity Forum (Asuf). She was a fearless leader with a soft voice and heart, who had to help establish peace and order during a turbulent time in agriculture.

The organisation come to life during the violent so called farm worker strike which started at the end of 2012, and Msimang was the first elected chairperson of the organisation. She played a crucial role in the agriculture sector, and she leaves big footsteps to fill.We want to send our condolences to her family as well as the African Farmers Union of South Africa (Afasa) of which she was a member.
